To grow as not only an artist, but as a person. I always want to be better and better every year and to learn from all of my mistakes. To be taken seriously as an artist is something I struggle with, and my confidence in being an artist. My biggest struggles are trying to not fall into a certain stigma that I might be given because of what IвЂ™ve done and what I do. What is your biggest struggle as a вЂњrenaissance woman?вЂќ What is something youвЂ™ve learned in being so multifaceted? I think thatвЂ™s when I knew that this is my true calling. Whether it was good or bad, I didnвЂ™t really care, I just loved it so much. I found myself spending hours and hours in my studio just listening to music and making art.

I was a professional dancer, I started working in the UFC, and from that point I fell in love with art. Throughout my career I think IвЂ™ve grown and progressed from one to the other. I feel extremely blessed right now.ДЄfter being a part of the entertainment industry for so many years, what led you to refocus on painting? IвЂ™m truly doing what I love, it definitely makes it easy to balance.В I enjoyed when I was going to school,В I enjoy going to work in the studio and I enjoy traveling with the UFC. How do you balance being in school and painting with being an Octagon Girl and a part of the entertainment industry in general? IвЂ™ve always had a fascination with the arts, music, dancing, painting, literature. Before I was a painter, I was a professional dancer in Las Vegas, dancing in the big Vegas shows. I think as an artist you have to enjoy other mediums. I am so happy and appreciative to have been a part of the family.Дo you enjoy any other art mediums or do you stick strictly to painting? A lot of my success has to do with my part in the UFC. Because of the UFC I was given the opportunity to be seen on a much larger platform. I started taking art seriously about 7 years ago and shortly after, I moved to LA to attend art school.В UFC is still a big part of my life.

So you started out as an Octagon Girl for UFC but now youвЂ™re predominantly focused on your art вЂ“ have you always been a painter? Where did your interest begin? Galore had to ask BrittneyВ how she manages to have it all, and if how sheвЂ™s saying FU to stereotypes. Her first art exhibit, вЂњI Remember Faces,вЂќ will be on display at AC Gallery in LA this November. While she rose to fame as an Octagon Girl for the UFC and modeled for Playboy, she is currently super focused on painting. I'm heading to Brazil twice in the next month to film The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, and then I'm looking forward to doing more of the same: working in my art studio painting, continuing to design and be creative, and continuing to make these fun workout videos for Gamma Labs PTF. 'I'll be staying in art school for the foreseeable future, and hopefully people will continue to show interest in my artwork. I like to paint acrylic on canvas portraits of rock and pop icons from the 1960s and 1970s, and it's been exciting to see how the detail and depth of my paintings has grown since I've been in school.' It's been really exciting learning all the different techniques that I never knew. I decided to enroll in art school, so I picked up and moved to Los Angeles last summer. 'I love to paint! I've been interested in art for as long as I can remember, and I started taking painting seriously over a year ago. I hear you're an artist also and your work is on your website. After I shot, we compared notes and had a good time rehashing our shoots!' She was very supportive and told me what to expect. 'I'm really close with Arianny, and we're together all the time with all the travel for the UFC. Did you talk to Arianny Celeste or Rachelle Leah about it beforehand? You're the third UFC ring girl to make a cover. But the Playboy crew on the shoot was so great and supportive, and they made me feel very comfortable on set.' I've never posed nude before, so I was a little apprehensive at first. 'I'm constantly exercising to stay in fighting shape for all of the UFC events, so that really didn't change. Were you nervous during the photo shoot and how much exercising did you do beforehand? 'I never really thought about it because I didn't expect this to happen! I was so happy being a part of something so incredible with the UFC that I didn't expect lightning to strike twice! Being on the cover of Playboy puts me in pretty elite company, and I'm excited for the opportunity.'
